بی بی سی اُردو سروس کے مطابق 8 اکتوبر 2005ء کو پاکستان کے صوبہ خیبر پختونخوا اور آزاد کشمیر میں شدید زلزلہ آیا جس نے بڑے پیمانے پر تباہی مچائی۔
بی بی سی کے مطابق اس زلزلے میں تقریباً 85 ہزار افراد ہلاک ہوئے تھے۔
